Sightsavers has an exciting vacancy for an Evaluation Manager to take forward commissioning and conducting our project and programme evaluations, and ensure learning from these is fully integrated into programmatic development and design through a variety of mechanisms and events.
Reporting to the Senior Global Impact Advisor the post holder will ensure the delivery of quality, evidence based, robust evaluations, through Sightsavers’ mechanisms for commissioning external evaluations. This entails engagement at all stages of the process from developing Terms of Reference to dissemination of final report findings and learning. In some cases the post holder will also lead on the design and implementation of internal evaluations, working closely with other Sightsavers teams and collaborating with external consultants on the development of evaluation design and methodologies for individual evaluations, where needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong Monitoring & Evaluations skills essentially in the area of designing and commissioning/conducting evaluations. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills in developing and contributing to organisation-wide evaluation approaches, designing, implementing and managing a portfolio of projects/programme evaluations.
The successful candidate will effectively line manage and collaborate closely with other teams across the organisation. You will be key to the dissemination of learning and evidence from evaluations to key stakeholders.
Ideally you will come with experience of working within an INGO setting and hold a Master’s degree in international development, public health, social policy or related disciplines or equivalent. You will have excellent analytical skills and be computer literate with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
