Consultant Onchocerciasis Elimination Mapping Data Manager (10-month Consultancy Contract with possibility of extension)
Location: Brazzaville, Republic of Congo
Salary: Up to 220 days at USD $333 - $436 per diem, depending on experience. Full time role.
Sightsavers has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Onchocerciasis Elimination Mapping Data Manager, to be responsible for the overall success of the mapping of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD’s) that respond to Preventative Chemotherapy in the Republic of Congo.
We are looking for a Data Manager who can oversee and manage the flow and collation of all data in the NTD database and provide ways for enhancing the collection, aggregation and analysis of this data. A key aspect of this role is the ability to create a sustainable data management model by developing and training existing Onchocerciasis Elimination Mapping team members at our partner ESPEN’s offices in Brazzaville.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data project management in a humanitarian or development sector, particularly in NTD’s or health. You must have strong computer systems, information systems or information technology skills with particular knowledge of cloud data storage and business intelligence tools. You should also have strong communication skills with the ability to train others and communicate data analyses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. It is essential that you be able to speak English and French fluently.
