This great opportunity will be providing expert advice to our decision makers with insightful management information and provide support to national health information system influencer. The role will be responsible on the overall development and the effectiveness of the Sightsavers’ NTD Health Systems.
As a Senior Technical Health Systems Director, you will have strong operational knowledge and analytical skills that will enable you to contribute to the strategic view of the organisation’s NTD health care systems. The role is involved in developing functional requirements, system diagrams, wireframes, data visualizations and analysis. The post is also responsible for developing and maintaining up to date systems design documentation for all data and technology systems and promote digital principles of development.
The position will also be representing the Sightsavers’ investments and interests in data and technology solutions with our donors and key stakeholders. There will also be a responsibility of providing data and technology related conference presentations and other capacity building activities, as well as coordinating data science and business analytics resources to support cross cutting system integration.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level or equivalent or have relevant experience and knowledge of healthcare systems with strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to explain complex data and systems concepts to a range of audiences. Experience in writing software requirements and test specifications is also required, as is in-depth understanding of software development methodologies, experience of negotiating with and managing third parties.
