An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join our ‘Eliminating Trachoma’ project team. This role, reporting to the Program Manager, is responsible for the implementation of the ‘Eliminating Trachoma’ project in three districts of Pakistan. This role will facilitate the management of all essential aspects of the project cycle for assigned projects including planning, implementation and monitoring. The Project Officer will also assist the Program Manager, providing regular updates and corresponding with regional, district and other partner organisations on project and strategic interventions.

Key duties will include:

· Ensuring that all project documentation and reports are produced on time.

· Coordination with partners for timely submission of quarterly reports and KPI’s.

· Working with the project team of ‘Eliminating Trachoma’ to review the progress reports, analyse KPIs and give timely feedback to the partners.

· Developing and implementing the Project’s work plans on annual/six monthly/quarterly basis.

· Carrying out regular field visits to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.

· Preparing briefing papers/project updates for periodic review meetings.

· Compiling project beneficiary case studies when required.

· Supporting the Project Manager in new project proposals

The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for social inclusion and be sensitive to gender equality whilst conducting your duties as a Project Officer.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Public Health or Development Management and substantial working experience, ideally gained within an NGO setting. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders is essential. Fluency in written and spoken English, as well as Urdu and strong communication skills are vital to this role. You should also be willing to travel within Pakistan.
