Sightsavers implements projects in over 30 countries in Africa and South Asia working to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote the rights of people with disabilities. We are looking for a Business Systems Project Assistant to work with the Head of Business Systems in our Haywards Heath office.

Salary: £19,796.00

Location:UK remote – Occasional travel to Haywards Heath, when required

Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: This is a full-time role with some flexibility around hours worked and some home working

About the role

Working as part of the Business Systems Team the Projects Assistant will assist with ongoing project activities. Supporting project sponsors and managers from across the organisation they will help with project delivery by assisting with documentation, supporting user acceptance testing, and conducting project activities. Projects will range in size and type from system development projects to IT infrastructure projects with multiple projects on the go at any given time.

About the role

  • Undertake and support with project activities including documentation, testing activities, collating training materials, supporting data migration through data entry and data cleansing. Working with internal and external resources as appropriate, to assist in delivering multiple projects to a successful conclusion within budget and on time.
  • Work with the business systems team to agree and implement a new document management structure. Identify and collate key documents for projects and work with project teams to determine access needs.

Knowledge and Skills required

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of products including Teams and SharePoint online.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer care and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Cloud-based document management
