Sightsavers Ireland is looking for a Key Relationships Manager– a new role within our strategic partnerships team to help recruit new prospects, manage existing major donors and manage key flagship campaigns.
Salary:€40,000 - €45,000
Location:Dublin 1/ Hybrid/ Remote (in Ireland) two days per week in the office
Contract:Permanent
Hours:This is a full-time with some flexibility around hours worked and some home working
About the role
We are looking for a passionate Key Relationships Manager to contribute to the development of Sightsavers Ireland’s major donor programme through the successful recruitment of new prospects alongside managing a portfolio of existing major donors. This role will focus on individuals capable of contributing at a major and high value level towards the Strategic Partnerships Team’s overall targets. In addition, the Key Relationships Manager will manage key campaigns including First Light for Sight Arctic Challenge. Key activities will include:
- Identifying, developing and managing a portfolio of relationships with a number of new and existing individual donors
- Developing key external and internal relationships critical for the achievement of planned objectives
- Delivering agreed targets in line with the team strategy
- Identifying and engaging with the new business pipeline of high-net-worth individuals
- Cultivating relationships with key senior figures and existing major donors
- Contributing to the overall direction of the Strategic Partnerships team
- Driving and project managing the recruitment and execution of annual campaigns
- Working with the Individual Giving team on legacies strategy
About you
This is a brilliant opportunity to build on your existing fundraising and/ or major donors experience, utilising your fundraising experience and communication skills within a collaborative and skilled team. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience of fundraising from mid-level and/or major individual donors and/or significant experience of working at senior level, in a fundraising, marketing or sales capacity
- Knowledge of database segmentation and targeted activities for the donor journey
- Knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in Ireland
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets and soliciting gifts from donors and prospects, or business in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of the principles of major donor fundraising and moves management
- Experienced of working at a senior level externally to develop high value relationships
- Significant experience of successful face-to-face donor / customer contact, building long term relationships
- Extensive experience and knowledge of good fundraising practice and relevant legal issues
