Sightsavers has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to fill our vacancy for a Senior Media & PR Officer based in Haywards Heath for a 6 month fixed term contract.
The primary purpose of the post is to proactively promote Sightsavers’ work and manage media relations to enhance the reputation and influence of the organisation. This is a proactive role, you will identify media opportunities and develop story ideas and communication plans to help promote Sightsavers’ key messages and support the delivery of organisational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a policy or campaigns focused media role with a good understanding of international development, policy and campaigning.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills with the ability to present complex information confidently, in a form appropriate to the audience. They will possess good networking and relationship-building skills with a good level of creativity, combined with the ability to analyse and summarise complex information.
