Sightsavers has a fantastic opportunity for a Production Editor to join us as a key member of our online team, helping deliver editorial support for our website and internal projects.
Reporting to the Senior Web Producer, you will copy-edit, commission and write for the Sightsavers website, related sites and internal tools. You will also project manage editorial work coming into the wider online team.
The successful candidate will have significant experience providing editorial and production support for major web communications projects, and will assess and develop projects to deliver best value to the organisation and ensure a captivating experience for our supporters. They’ll also demonstrate experience of successfully working with internal clients, with the ability to meet deadlines and remain in budget.
The ideal candidate will have high quality writing and sub-editing skills. Proven experience using content management systems is essential, as is the ability to take responsibility of editorial quality control. A familiarity with good design practice, some knowledge of digital image manipulation and an understanding of the relationship between written and visual communications is desirable.
Fluency in Italian, Swedish or Norwegian would be welcome though is not essential.
